What is Classical Education?

Classical education employs a holistic approach focusing on the mind, body, and soul with the aim of preparing students to live meaningful lives.

How is such a lofty goal attained? Educators win students over with content-rich curriculum and help them engage deeply with classical literature, history, science, and mathematics.

The addition of attending weekly liturgy elevates the soul and nourishes the mind.

  • Grammar (K-5/6): Students acquire foundational knowledge and memorize facts and rules, building a strong base of information.

  • Logic (7-9): Students learn to think critically, ask "why," and understand the relationships between different pieces of knowledge and data.

  • Rhetoric (10-12): Students learn to express their well-reasoned conclusions persuasively through speech and writing, building on their previous knowledge.

…together this instructional method is referred to as The Trivium
